Success Stories
(More Success Stories>)

#1 - Smooth Transitions A Bay Area college campus outsourced to GMG the management of their current janitorial needs. This assignment posed a significant challenge, as the campus had already employed a crew of on-site janitors. This meant GMG would need to find a way to harmoniously integrate the campus crew with its own. The transition was smooth and the desired results were quickly achieved. GMG hired the college’s existing staff and held a “warm welcome” introductory meeting that introduced the new employment plan, including benefits and a reward system that was distributed to the new team over the first 90-day period. The college was ecstatic with the outcome (which could have easily turned into a nightmare, given the politics of the situation). The school has since expanded its use of GMG’s outsourced services.

#2 - Improved Management
A Bay Area cooking school, housed in a historical landmark, sought out GMG’s services in order to better manage the cleaning of its kitchens, which had a tendency to become extremely messy. The institution had 15 janitors that were already employed. It had tried its luck with different supervisors in an effort to get their custodial management in order once and for all: they were just having a difficult time finding the right combination of experienced professionals. Once GMG came onto the scene, immediately welcoming aboard the existing employees and addressing their benefits and pay, the daunting task of eliminating the accumulation of dirt and grime was no longer an issue. With the implementation of GMG’s new cleaning systems, the gleaming results were visible seemingly overnight and the chefs were incredibly pleased with their sparkling kitchens.

#3 - Large Projects
A large utility company was desperately unhappy with its janitorial vendor and hired GMG. The challenge? The company wanted the same exact start date for all 50 of its buildings. What could have been logistically tricky instead went off without a hitch. Long before the start date, GMG had everything in place: staffing and supervision; walk-throughs, so we knew each building thoroughly; working keys, security cards, and codes; training sessions for staff on everything from safety protocol to cleaning methods; janitorial uniforms cleaned and ironed. We delivered hundreds of vacuum cleaners, trash barrels, and cleaning supplies. The transition was a huge success. GMG made drastic improvements to the cleanliness of the buildings, which were previously filthy, and received nothing but compliments from the utility company for our expert handling of all 50 sites.
